Weston Shoes – Ultra Collection

In 1907, Eugène Blanchard, the schoolboy of a shoemaker,
returned from America to France. He had spent three years in the town of
Weston, where his father had sent him to find ways to modernize the family
business and discover the trade secrets behind the success of American
shoemaking.

He came back full of new ideas on how to create men's shoes
all over the world. However, his new philosophy of quality and exclusivity
clashed with the productivity mentality that prevailed at the time.

Fifteen years later, Eugene was approaching forty and had
given free rein to the affairs of his father. Taking a completely different
direction, he created J.M. Weston. The new name was a symbol of the luxury
brand that he intended to create, as was his first collection, called Ultra
Shoe.

The collection was calculated to serve men who reject
tradition and live their lives according to their own values wanting to stand
out, those who have a perfectionist attitude, an obsession to seek fulfillment
and an appreciation for quality. This, Eugene thought, was the incarnation of
"Ultra Man."

Today, the artistic director of the brand, Michael Perry,
wanted to pay tribute to this attitude and channel the spirit of the forefather
of J.M. Weston. Four new shoes have been twisted based on this philosophy: the
new models are subtly different with a rounded toe and are designed to express
the Ultra Man ethic alongside the company's original French heritage.

Rounded calfskin is used in conjunction with burgundy inner
lining, English hand-sewn cotton trim, pearl gray embossed tread trim,
hand-dyed sole arch, and a host of other unique details. .
