Pringle – Autumn/Winter 2021 Collection

Renowned for its fabrics, Scottish brand Pringle remains part of the fall / winter fashion landscape, where warm, thick fabrics are key.

Fortunately, her latest collection focuses solely on stitch patterns and textures, with classic styles and reinvented designs.

The jackets, coats and blazers in the collection are cut from a new double mesh felt mesh, which provides a generous fit well suited for the harshest winter conditions.

However, the iconic pieces of the collection remain their jumpers,

which come in a wide variety of styles, such as gros arans, braids and fisherman knits, as well as a reinterpretation of the rib knit, which is a snap. decades past. Another "static" weave pattern gives a more modern look to some of the brand's more traditional fabrics, such as cashmere and merino wool.

Part of Pringle's Scottish heritage, diamond weave blends with traditional jacquard for an eye-catching design in contrasting colors in cashmere.

Argyle is also mixed with tartan, and the colors are taken from the tartan to create new combinations of diamonds, as well as combined for a hybrid pattern. The classic rhombus is also reinterpreted in a new cut, creating a broken diamond effect.

A tartan-derived gray, moss, oatmeal and camel base also forms the basis of the collection's color palette, with red, navy and mustard adding reflections. A tonal tartan palette in grays and blues is also provided as an alternative to bolder colors.

“This collection is 100% woven, both in spirit and in product! I wanted to explore the ways that we can approach each category using fabrics: the techniques, the textures and the patterns. The Pringle archives have almost all the benchmarks we need for this - they were the inventors of many innovative weaving methods and it was interesting to see how we could push the boundaries of weaving even further. - Massimo Nicosia, Pringle Male Design Director
