MR PORTER Launches Its Own Label – Mr P.

Since its initial launch in 2011, the MR PORTER online men's style destination is probably best known for being one of the go-to places to buy menswear from established luxury brands such as Gucci, Moncler, Prada, Acne. Studies and more ... the list is long and illustrious.
However, with its new label, Mr P., launching today (Nov 7), the retailer will soon be known for more than just selling other brands.
Created by a team of home designers, Mr P. is a year-round
collection, focusing on an essential range of basic products. Additionally,
there will be five limited-edition capsules each year, each focused on trends,
seasonal and inspired by a style icon past or existing. The ideas overdue this
November launch capsule were inspired by post-war artists from the "School
of London", its heyday in the 1960s in Soho, London.
The creation of MP was based on the customer insights MR PORTER has collected since its launch almost seven years ago in February 2011,
as well as the comments and buying habits they observed among the 600,000
shoppers who have made a purchase in the website since then. That date. Each
garment's design process is guided by its mantra: easy pieces. Smart details.
Durable style.
The Mr P. Launch Collection includes 53 ready-to-wear items, techsupportreviews including 24 essential styles available year-round and 29 seasonal styles in the first capsule. Styles that stand out include: 15-gauge cashmere knitwear; modernized Oxford shirts; Japanese selvage denim; and single and double breasted coats in a virgin wool and cashmere blend.
“At MR PORTER, we are first and foremost product persons.
This passion for quality, exceptionality, style and versatility has stayed the backbone
of our company's development for the past seven years. So the MP release was
pretty organic for us; We thought there was room in our mix of over 400 brands
for something that could showcase a unique take on wardrobe classics and also
feature regular capsules of more trendy and seasonal pieces throughout the
year. We like to think that we have an unparalleled vision for men's wardrobe,
bringing together the combined knowledge of our buyers and editors, and Mr. P.
is ultimately the result. - Toby Bateman, Managing Director, MR PORTER
Most of the collection is made in Italy, with a selection of
items made in Portugal and denim in Japan. Prices will range from £ 55 for the
basic t-shirts to £ 875 for the capsule-style leather flier jacket. The second
limited-edition Mr P. tablet will launch in February, tailed by a third in
April, and Mr P. will present the shoes and accessories for the Fall / Winter
2018 season.
