Introducing the Jubilee Collection from IWC Schaffhausen

To celebrate its 150th anniversary next year, IWC Schaffhausen
unveiled a special Jubilee collection, consisting of 27 limited edition models
from the Portugieser, Portofino, Pilot's Watches and Da Vinci families.

IWC will also launch its very first wristwatch featuring the
original digital hour and minute display as it appeared on the brand's
Pallweber pocket watches in 1884. The watch collection all shares their printed
dials in either white or blue, a look achieved through a process involving the
application of several coats of lacquer.

“In a long and complex route, these dials are coated with up
to 12 coats of high-quality lacquer, flat-polished, brushed and then printed
several times. "- Christian Knoop, Creative Director of IWC Schaffhausen

Watches with a white dial have blue hands, while those with
a blue dial have rhodium-plated hands. The inspiration for this design came
from the first Portugieser models, Reference IW325, from 1939. Each watch in
the collection is fitted with a black alligator leather strap, and each model
also bears the text "150 Years" , either as a medallion or as an
engraving.

American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones founded IWC in
1868, with the aim of combining Swiss craftsmanship with American manufacturing
technology to create pocket watches.
“Our founder's entrepreneurial spirit and relentless pursuit
of engineering excellence have left a lasting impression on IWC. Our Jubilee
Collection revisits icons from IWC's history and unifies them to form a unique
and impressive collection. - Christoph Grainger-Herr, CEO of IWC Schaffhausen

white dial with a lacquer finish, white display discs and a seconds hand blued.
The watch is limited to 250 pieces.

Another flagship piece of the collection, the Portugieser
Constant-Force Tourbillon Edition "150 Years", has a power reserve of
96 hours and a single moon phase display which only needs to be adjusted after
'one day after 577.5 years. The collection is completed by models including the
Portugieser Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Edition "150 Years", the Da
Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36 Edition "150 Years" and the Da Vinci
Automatic Edition "150 Years".
